Terms of Service
Terms of service for the wordradar API and website
These terms govern your use of wordradar (the "Service") — a keyword and market-signal data service offered as a website, REST API, and MCP server, currently in invite-only beta. By creating an account or calling the API, you accept these terms.
The Service
wordradar aggregates public signals (search-suggest corpora, SERP snapshots, Google Trends, domain registries, public rankings) into keyword intelligence: a first-seen word ledger, new-site radar, SERP difficulty estimates, and related surfaces.
The public radar page (/radar) displays third-party domain and creator information gathered from public sources. It is an aggregation only: it does not imply any affiliation with the listed sites, nor any assessment of their business or revenue. Site and creator owners may email [email protected] to remove their own listing; we usually action requests within 3 business days.
Accounts and API Keys
- Access is by invitation during the beta. Invite codes are personal and may be limited in uses.
- You are responsible for your account credentials and your API keys (
wr_…). Keys are shown once at creation; store them safely. - You are responsible for all usage under your keys. Revoke any leaked key from your dashboard immediately.
Credits and Metering
- Successful queries are metered in credits. Failed requests (server errors, validation errors, upstream outages) are never billed.
- Free beta credits have no monetary value. Paid credit packs are live: checkout runs on Stripe, credits are prepaid and non-refundable once consumed; payment disputes follow the Stripe and card-issuer process.
- Rate limits apply and may change during the beta.
Data Accuracy — Please Read
Keyword metrics on wordradar are estimates derived from public sources, not official search-engine data:
- Difficulty scores (proxy-KD) are heuristic scores computed from SERP composition, with published weights. They are not a vendor "keyword difficulty" product.
- Volume signals come from suggest-corpus presence and Trends shapes, not an official search-volume feed.
- First-seen dates reflect when a word entered our corpus, which may differ from when it first appeared anywhere.
We publish the methodology here precisely so you can judge the fit for your use case. Do not treat any number as a guarantee of search-engine behavior.
Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Resell, redistribute, or bulk-mirror raw API output as a competing data feed
- Circumvent rate limits or metering, or share one key across multiple organizations
- Use the Service for unlawful purposes or to infringe others' rights
Intellectual Property
We own the Service's code and infrastructure. You own your applications. You may use API output inside your own products and analyses; you may not resell the raw feeds (see Acceptable Use).
Beta Disclaimer
The Service may change, pause, or break during the beta. We may adjust endpoints, pricing of credits, and data methodology. Material changes will be announced in the changelog.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, wordradar is not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from use of the Service or reliance on its estimates.
Changes and Contact
We may update these terms; the new version applies from its last-updated date. Questions or disputes: email [email protected] (or simply reply to any wordradar email) — we reply.
